Powers of the President Continued

Test Review!
We will begin today's class by revisiting the powers of the President. Students will review the articles from the previous class and engage in an activity that allows them to demonstrate their understanding. Once students have successfully proved their learning, we will transition to review for the test.
Choose your own proof of learning!
I need for you to demonstrate your learning on the Powers of the President. Originally, I had planned to hold a class wide discussion, but I don't want to limit you to that. So, to prove your learning, choose from any of the options below to complete during class for a grade. What you turn in must discuss the articles you read, the Powers of the President, and provide for your opinion on the question: "Does the President have too much power?"
TweetinarEngage your fellow classmates in a discussion on Twitter about the Power of the President. Make reference to the types of powers, discuss the articles you read, and discuss your opinion on whether the President has too much power.
Use the hashtag #POTUSpower to join the convo and when possible tag @MrDuffedu in your tweets. As always, pause before you post! Remember, this is for school. |
Traditional DiscussionJoin in a traditional face to face discussion with classmates and Mr. Duffy to discuss the types of Presidential power, the examples from the Articles.
|
Create a Political CartoonFor the artists and humorists among us, use this handout to create and provide background on a political cartoon on the Powers of the President. In your cartoon and/or analysis, be sure to discuss the types of powers, examples from the readings, and your opinion on POTUS power.
|
Something ElseHave an idea about how to prove you learned something? Propose it to Mr. Duffy and get to work!
Whatever you choose, it should take around 15 minutes to complete. |
